A conduit carrier that doesn't sag, fittings you can find and a bench wherever the job is. That’s what this plumbing ute setup on a Ford Ranger Tremor is built to deliver.
It runs a Utemaster TrailCore Service Body with a 4.6m aluminium conduit carrier up top, a split door workbench on one side and a full-height open bay on the other.
Pipe rides on the roof. Fittings and small tools live in drawers at bench height. Bulky gear goes in the open side. Here's what's on it and how it works on site.
Conduit Carrier and Roof Rack
PVC conduit tubes flex and sag (looking like a banana, and turning heads!), especially over longer lengths.
This build runs our aluminium conduit carrier instead. At 4.6m, it takes standard 4m pipe and conduit with room to spare. Locking end caps on both ends keep the load in and the wrong hands out. It mounts to the TrailCore Cantilever, so it sits clear of the doors and doesn't get in the way when you're working out of the body.

Split Door Workbench
The left hand side is set up as a mobile workshop. The split door opens in two halves. The top lifts up and gives you cover. The bottom drops down and becomes a bench at a comfortable working height.
A vice is mounted at the rear corner, right next to the bench. Clamp the pipe, cut it, thread it and get on with the job without hunting for a flat surface on site. Beside the vice sits a drawer unit with a shelf above, so fittings, consumables and hand tools each have their own place within reach.

Full-Height Open Bay
The right hand side runs a standard door, which opens the full height of the body. It's the place for bulky gear like hot water cylinders, pumps, drain machines and anything else that won't fit on a shelf.
With the door up, it also gives you cover from the rain and sun while you're loading or sorting gear. The full shape rear door opens right out to the edge of the body, so you can reach the centre of the body from the back too.

Drop-Down Floor and Fold Down Steps
The TrailCore's floor drops down between the chassis rails. That lowers the load height and makes use of space that's dead on a traditional service body. The open drawer makes use of dead space on traditional service bodies. Gear can be stored down the centre, and slides out to you instead of you climbing in after it.
Fold down steps tuck away under the body and drop down when you need to reach the rack or load the conduit carrier. When you're done, they fold back up out of the way.
