Wondering how you can transport your dog in the Centurion Canopy?
The Dog Vent Kit allows air to flow freely into your tub area when driving.
It's designed to work with the slam lock system so you can swing it into place when you need it and fold it down when you don't. Regardless, your dog and the gear in your tub will always be safe and secure!
One of the greatest features of the Utemaster Centurion Canopy is its robust security.
The Dog Vent Kit allows air flow without compromising on the security of the side doors.
In the open position, the gap on both sides allows an area of 18cm2 of airflow to enter and exit the Canopy while driving.
(equivalent to 1x 37cm diameter circle, or 2x 26cm circles)
It's important for the dog to have some light inside.
The Centurion Canopy doesn't have windows for security reasons however the Dog Vent Kit holds the door ajar which allows a small amount of light to pass through, making a more comfortable environment for your dog to travel in.
The Dog Vent Kit is attached to the Canopy using a wing bolt so you can easily loosen and tighten to adjust the position.
When you need it, swing the bracket around so that it's facing outwards. This allows the lock strike on the door to catch on.
When you don't need it, it can be hinged back into the Canopy and tightened in a downward position so it's out of the way.
The MK3 Canopy is a new variation of the Centurion Canopy that features changes to the slam lock design.
Any new canopy ordered after March 2022 for the following models will be compatible with the locking version of the Dog Vent Kit:
Any Canopy not listed above or ordered prior to February 2022 will be MK1 & MK2 Canopy models which are compatible with the non-locking version.
2) Can I leave my dog in the Canopy when it is parked?
For the same reason you wouldn't leave a dog in a car on a hot day we do not recommend leaving your dog in the canopy unless the vehicle is moving.
3) Can I still lock my canopy with the door ajar?
