Stabicraft and Stabi X visit the Utemaster Factory
Posted on 12 July 2026 by Utemaster
We had a few visitors through our Waikato factory recently. Paul, Dan and Doug from Stabicraft and Stabi X.
They build boats. We build ute trays, canopies, hard lids and storage systems. Different products, different environments — but the same problem to solve: build solid gear that's tough, purpose-built, and made to withstand the elements.
From marine-grade thinking to work-ready ute setups, there was plenty of common ground. So we walked them through how Utemaster products are designed, engineered and built from the factory floor up.
So we walked them through how we do it.
A look inside the Utemaster Build Process
Every Utemaster product starts with a clear purpose: to help ute owners carry gear more securely, work more efficiently and build a setup that suits the way they use their ute.
During the factory walkthrough, the Stabicraft and Stabi X team got a closer look at how our trays, canopies, hard lids and storage systems come together, from material selection and design through to manufacturing, finishing and final checks.
Whether it's a trade setup, touring build, farm vehicle or weekend adventure rig, the same principles apply: strong materials, smart design, clean finishes and practical details that hold up in real use.
Built for tough conditions
Stabicraft and Stabi X know what it takes to build gear for harsh environments. Their boats are made for people who rely on strength, safety and reliability on the water.
That made the factory visit a natural fit. At Utemaster, we take a similar approach to ute accessories. Our products are built for people who need their vehicle to work hard, whether they're on the tools, travelling long distances, towing, carrying equipment or heading off-road.
It was a great chance to share ideas, compare build philosophies and show how much detail goes into creating ute solutions that are ready for demanding conditions.
